“The Ambit” is a feature light that illuminates the room with elegance. This fitting features Australian Blackbutt hardwood combined with clean black canopies suspended from cloth cable. The timber beam exhibits gum veins and clean lines and was selected by our craftsmen and fashioned into a stunning finished product. This natural beauty is then coupled with the strength and integrity of steel fittings and suspenders.

Description

You will receive the light (including suspenders and ceiling eye strap mount), electrical cable, and an instruction manual that details safe installation and operating procedures. The electrical cable will have a standard 240v Australian plug on the end which can be inserted directly into a socket in the ceiling space. If you are unsure about installation or do not already have an electrical socket to plug the light in, we always recommend that a certified electrician does the installation.

(Please note; if you are an international customer, please contact us and we will organise supplying the electrical cable and driver that is relevant to your country’s electrical system. In most cases, this will take about a week before we can send the item, but will not incur any extra cost)

Blackbutt (Eucalyptus Pilularis)
Blackbutt is a large hardwood native to NSW and southern Queensland. It commonly grows to 50m in height and has rough bark to the halfway point on the trunk, followed by white smooth bark. Its name is due to the blackened bottom of the tree (the butt) after a bushfire. Blackbutt often has distinct gum veins and fairly straight grain and even texture.
