Camphor Laurel Smart Light

Camphor Laurel is a heavily featured blonde timber that has a distinct camphor smell. Its colour ranges from pale yellow and brown in the sapwood to honey with brown or red overtones in the heartwood with swirl patterning. It is prized for furniture making, turning and carving. Originally from Taiwan, Japan and China Camphor Laurel was introduced to Australia in the 1800’s and now grows in NSW and Queensland.
